2023 in brief

INRS has published the key figures of the year 2023.

The scope of INRS for the prevention of occupational risks mobilizes, in a transversal manner, four modalities complementary: assistance, studies and research, training and information. From the acquisition of knowledge until its dissemination, INRS takes advantage of its multidisciplinary resources to preserve health and safety at work, spread a culture of prevention in businesses and offer tools adapted to diversity professional risks.

To contribute to the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases, INRS uses four complementary means of action, broken down as follows:

Studies and Research

77 studies and research projects performed by close to 250 people in laboratories specialised in chemical, physical, mechanical, physiological, psychosocial risks, etc.
143 articles published in scientific and technical journals
152 communications presented at symposia and conferences
About 20 PhD students hosted in 2023

Training

1,39 million people trained by organisations certified by INRS
33,300 people registered on the INRS self-study website to acquire the basics in occupational risk prevention.
Within the framework of a partnership with the Ministry for Education, over a million students in vocational education received training in occupational safety and health in 2023.

Assistance

27,300 external requests for expertise answered by experts in the legal, medical and technical fields
Provision of 328 toxicological sheets, 110 prevention tools, 32 searchable databasess in fields of occupational risk
49 experts active in 47 French and international standardisation commitees and 87 working groups

Information et communication

9 million hits and 21 million documents downloaded on www.inrs.fr
