A study of parameters associated with flammability and explosibility of damp wood dust samples

After recalling the dust explosion mechanism and definitions of a number of dusty atmosphere characteristics, this brochure presents experimental results for explosibility characteristics obtained with three damp wood dust samples taken from industrial firms and forwarded by French regional health insurance fund (CRAM) occupational risk prevention departments.
This study was conducted at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Génie Chimique (UPR CNRS 6811) within the framework of an agreement signed with INRS (through the Centre de Promotion du Génie des Procédés dans l’Industrie – Progepi - in Nancy).
