Practices into mental health at work. With the testimony of four foremost professionals
Publication
Four personal interviews of professionals with over 10 years experience were conducted with the aim of describing, illustrating and analysing progress of intervention and consultation practice in the occupational mental health field.
Following an introduction detailing various issues relating to the problem concerned, the report describes the experiences of interviewed professionals: career paths (training courses, links with former activities), knowledge called upon (theories, models, inspirational schools of thought), intervention/consultation strategies, examples of situations handled, review of acquired experience.
Based on reported accounts and examination of field-related literature, the article concludes with a suggested programme of theoretical and practical study focusing on mental health at work: extending thought prevention symptomatology mechanisms, developing conditions favouring an interactionist professional position for the practitioner.
