Prevention in SMEs. II Survey. Safety practices - Risks attitudes

This report (II) is the second in a series of three INRS Scientific and Technical Notes dedicated to prevention in SMEs. It comprises two parts :<br/>
- the first presents the conceptual context of the survey, developed to carry out this research work in some 100 SMEs : problem assessment, hypotheses, model of the general operation and prevention practices in small firms, conduct of the survey ;<br/>
- the second part presents the results obtained : characteristics and determining factors of how safety is taken into account, representation of risks and accident levels in small firms. A final summarising chapter formulates a series of analyses and proposals resulting from the work carried out. <br/>
Three appendices present the sampling techniques, the data analysis methodology, as well as two specialised factorial maps .<br/>
It should be borne in mind that report I - situation - presents questions of definition in the SME. It then goes on to examine the designs and the results available in the literature relating to prevention in SMEs.<br/>
Report III - method presents the approach and both the methodological and technical means employed to conduct the survey.<br/>
