INRS workplace study to determine the Assigned Protection Factors of Respiratory Protective Devices used for asbestos removal: the case of the supplied air respirators

This document presents a description of the INRS workplace study on the performance of Respiratory Protection Devices used for asbestos-removal. Results of asbestos fiber concentrations measured outside and inside supplied air respirators obtained on 6 workplaces are presented. A lot of recommendations concerning the tasks organization, the removal technology to be used and the collective protection are expressed.
