Intercomparison work to harmonize validation of bioaerosol sampling and analysis methods

Publication

A study on the harmonization of performance evaluation protocols for bioaerosol measurement methods, initiated in partnership with two other institutes specialized in this field, is currently underway at INRS. The aim of this project is to define and propose recommendations for the development and validation of bioaerosol sampling and analysis methods. To achieve this objective, intercomparison work has been carried out to generate a complex microbial pool, prepared and analyzed in a similar way on the experimental benches of each institute. Initial results show differences in the achievable concentration levels and in the behavior of the microorganisms depending on the sampler used.
