Exoskeletons for back assistance: the benefits of robotic technology

The robotic back assistance exoskeletons aim to provide strong support to operators during physical work tasks, and thus contribute to the prevention of lower back pain. However, the contribution of robotic technologies remains little studied. INRS carried out a laboratory study to analyze the biomechanical consequences of the use of two exoskeletons, robotic back assistance, the results of which are presented in this article.
