Biological risk in the composting sector: development of a method to help assess it

In the context of the prevention of biological risk, INRS conducted a study to develop a specific method of evaluation of the biological risk linked to composting. Based on the analysis of existing methods, a methodology was designed and then validated in the field. This method is based on the graduated risk management and incorporates descriptors to assess the risk by inhalation and skin contact. Thus, this study offers a guide for employers in the composting sector in the prevention of biological risk.
