Modeling arterial stenosis stemmed from vibration-altered Wall Shear Stress: A way to prevent vibration-induced vascular risk?
Publication
The health effects of vibrations transmitted to the hand-arm system are elicited by a chronic exposure along the worker s lifetime. It is challenging to ascertain the precise nature of these phenomena without undertaking epidemiological studies, which can be intricate to conduct. Consequently, modelling is becoming an increasingly prevalent tool for predicting the evolution of living organisms. This article presents a model of the degradation of a finger artery, which has provided valuable information on the harmful consequences of vibration. Ultimately, this could contribute to the prevention of the vibration-induced vascular risk.
