Adaptation of collective self-confrontations to intervene in companies
Publication
If analysis of activity is one of the foundations of ergonomic, nevertheless other disciplines of human and social sciences also use it in order to better understand how work is performed and how it evolves. According to the objectives of these various disciplines, analysis of the activity can take varied forms. Furthermore, it is continuously evolving with a continuous search for a better adaptation of the methods available to present and future occupational situations. Indeed, as working conditions change rapidly, the methods to analyse activity must be reviewed and adjusted to better meet the changing reality. For this reason, we see appearing new methods to analyze activity, in various occupational contexts, with an aim of research and also intervention. This communication aims at exposing a collective self-confrontation method, such as it was used in the workplace to lead an applied research. We adapted and operating this method in a healthcare center, in using an psycho-ergonomic approach improve our to knowledge of working conditions and occupational risks (especially and psychosocial risks) in this sector, and to set up prevention action related to these risks. In parallel to activity analysis, we also focused our attention on the emotions at work of employees. Through this case study, we detail the used method and the obtained result, as well as a methodological reflection around the question of adaptation of analysis and intervention methods.
