Intervention in organization from study of activity and working emotional dimension
Publication
Links between emotions at work and health have been largely studied by researchers. They have been studied to better understand them and to perform interventions, particularly in the context of psychosocial stakes. This study-intervention presents a psycho-ergonomic approach. It was led in an electricity networks engineering and maintenance service of a big company. We analysed emotions at work felt by operators and managers, and the antecedents of these emotions. We show that the major job demand is linked to the impossibility for employees to correctly realize their work, because several organizational elements in the company prevent to perform it. We also show that study of working emotional dimension, in connection with activity study, allows changing organization and reducing job demands.
