Publication
In the context of psychosocial risks prevention, emotions at work study can improve the knowledge of the better way to prevent these hazards. This research carried out in an electric transport company shows how emotions at work study can lead to an improvement of working conditions and to how to prevent psychosocial risks. We analysed activity and emotions at work of several employees in working situations in performing observations and interviews. We analysed job demands, work sense and factors of the lack of work sense. We show that the emotional dimension of work can lead to a diagnosis of psychosocial risks, and a prevention plan to improve working conditions. We also show that a psychosocial risk factor in this company is lonked to the phenomena of “hampered work: when employees cannot perform a quality work because organizational facts obstruct these possibilities. Several prevention actions were built with the company to cope with job demands and to reestablish sense of work. They are based on communication between managers to share workload, on determination of tasks priorities, on creation of debate space, and on others actions will be explained in the final paper.
