Occupational exposure to 1,3-Butadiene: results of a national sampling campaign

An INRS study revealed a lack of knowledge of the risk associated with the presence of 1,3-butadiene, a carcinogenic and mutagenic substance, in the workplace. In order to provide more knowledge on the levels of exposure to this substance in France, a national campaign led by INRS was carried out within 18 sectors of activity by the interregional chemical laboratories of Carsat and Cramif. . This article presents a portrait of the levels of exposure to 1,3-butadiene documented in the context of this campaign and recorded in the Colchic database.
