This report focuses on the activity of planning operators in road haulage transport companies. Based on a rigorous analysis of protocols, a set of results from actual working conditions is presented. The cognitive processes, and particularly the management of uncertainty, occupy a central place in the analysis process. The results highlight new research prospects, both in practice and theory.
