Working in isolation: for an overall approach to risk prevention. What part do alarm devices play in organising rescue operations?

Publication

The way companies take into account the issues of working in isolation should not be limited merely to deploying technical solutions of lone worker alarm device type. Those issues should also be addressed through an overall occupational risk prevention approach.

Changes in the way work is organised and in working techniques are leading to a wide range of lone worker alarm devices and of related services coming onto the market. Implementing such systems is not something that can be improvised.
This article takes stock of the organisational measures to be put in place and of the part played by such alarm systems in organising rescue services.
