Musculoskeletal disorders in operating rooms

Musculoskeletal disorders (back and limbs)are linked to biomechanical and psychosocial risk factors. In the operating rooms, their prevention is based on technical improvements (adapted equipment, handling devices,..) and organisational ones (tasks alternation, breaks organisation, improvement of the relations between and within departments), by means of a participative approach which favors the teamwork and the support of the staff.
