Degradation of methanal in solution by photocatalysis TiO2/UV
Publication
The elimination of methanal, a carcinogenic compound, has become a priority for industrial or hospital effluent treatment. This study aims to highlight the ability of photocatalysis to degrade methanal and to obtain the corresponding kinetic data. The influence of the initial pollutant concentration and the irradiance on the degradation rate was modeled. This kinetic model is an essential tool for the design and sizing of a
photocatalytic industrial treatment for methanal abatement of effluents.
