Prevention for green business and territorial proximities. A global performance issue for waste sorting centers
Publication
Recycling and waste management are an important part of green business. In France or at international level, many questions are raised about working conditions for employees in positions in these "green jobs". Our study is based on a research-intervention in four waste sorting centers of household packaging. The results of our work analysis show that many constraints for work activity, in terms of health and safety at work, are linked to a territorial dimension. The results were transmitted to decision-makers (local communities and sorting centers) during the final meeting of the ergonomics study that have helped create spaces for debate and initiate cooperation that synergizes performance objectives. In terms of sustainability and global performance, we suggest studying this issue with the proximity relations analysis in order to develop actions of prevention on a territorial scale.
