Servo-motor presses: a question of safety

The arrival on the market of a new type of press, the "servo-motor press", raises questions as regards occupational risks. Since they operate differently from presses using conventional technologies, investigations need to be conducted to analyse the available safety functions and their effectiveness in the event that the electronic regulator systems fail.
