Exposure of workers to chemical substances and bioaerosols in household-waste incineration plant

Levels of chemical compounds and bioaerosols of workers at household-waste incineration plant aren’t totally known. To solve this problem, a strategy based on in situ measurements is applied to identifying and quantifying the different pollutants present in the work atmospheres during daily operations. More complex maintenance operations (oven shutdown, cleaning of electro-filters, etc.) are also taken into consideration.
