Thermal spraying: state of the art in 2012
Publication
Thermal spraying generates metal particles, which are often oxidised and of nanoparticle size. Studies have shown that urinary excretions of exposed employees are dependent on the process used, but available exposure data on this subject are scarce. There are few thermal spraying installations, although the technology is used in many industrial sectors. Activities implementing one or more thermal spraying processes have been mapped based on a study of different sectors.
These results will enable future prevention actions to be better targeted.
