Software to Predict the Chemical Resistance of Protective Materials

The selection of chemical protective materials is a major problem due to the number of chemicals used in industrial operations that is growing day to day and the variety of polymers used in the protective clothing.
The predictive software ProtecPo developed in an international collaboration between the IRSST from Quebec-Canada and the INRS in France, with the participation of Dr. Charles M. Hansen in Denmark, is a software that allows selecting the best protective material for exposures to single or mixed chemicals.
The software predictions are based on the calculation of the physicochemical interactions between pure chemicals or mixtures of chemicals and protective polymeric materials.
