The use of risk management's frames to "think" the PSR

Publication

In the works on the management of the risk in dynamic environment, the approaches in terms of ecological safety often allow to integrate a set of mechanisms spontaneously mobilized by the operator to reach a satisfactory performance while preserving the control of the situation (Brami and Amalberti, on 2010). This approach allows in particular to explain certain "spontaneous" adaptations to evolutions of situations (in terms of decision-making, cognitive compromises, actions…).
By considering the actors at the work as stakeholder of the dynamics of the organizations in whom they exercise, the integration of the PSR in the question of the management of the dynamic environments, without distorting the reflections on the risk management, seems to enrich this problem initially built in psychology-ergonomics.
The PSR (Psychosocial Risks) asks the question of employees' adaptation in a dynamic environment of already degraded work which can continue to degrade on the long term (the approach of Rasmussen 1997-in terms of drift applies to the question). In the course of a long-time degradation, certain psychosocial disorders constitute delayed noxious appearances, of choices or behaviors satisfying at short or middle terms, but certain consequences of which, not detectable over the moment, entail longer-term injuries of the working system of which the employee is an element.
The occupational loneliness appears as a dimension of the drift which lead to the realization of PSR. We would try to envisage how the notions of cognitive compromises or ecological safety can partly explain the genesis of certain RPS to whom contributes the occupational loneliness. The envisaged approach remains that of the control of the situations and the opportunities of control of the situation. But while in the approaches on the errors, it was a question of investigating in what the control of the internal risk allowed to control the evolution of the external risks, the approach on the isolation focuses more on the influence of the loss of control of the internal risk over the health and tries to integrate the consequences for the safety at middle-long term.
