Toxicological hazards

Occupational safety and health at work : Hazards related to the physical environment. The INRS is a approved body to analyze the toxicological hazards and to register the declaration of very toxic or corrosive chemicals.

The Institute designs many information products: 4 magazines, 300 brochures, 150 posters, 70 videos, CD-ROMs. These are disseminated across a broad public of safety managers, occupational physicians, engineers, operators, trainers, among others. From toxicological hazards to physical and psychological well-being, the INRS conducts study and research programmes to improve the health and safety of men and women at work. It also determines future risk prevention needs by evaluating the measures and programme adopted.

Preventing toxic risk linked to the production of medicines

The assessment of toxicological risks linked to the production of the active ingredients of medications or their packaging is complex. Although the immediate health effects are generally quickly known and identified, the risks of long-term effects due to impregnation of very low doses of the medicine appear to be more difficult to assess, few scientific data being available on this subject.

Practical guide on the prevention of chemical hazards

It contains an appraisal of the main data pertaining to soil stabilizers: processes, products and their main constituents, implementation, hazards and preventive measures to be taken during storage and before and after use.

Chemical hazards related to polyethylene processing

Samples taken in firms where polyethylene is processed into films and bags were used to assess the chemical hazards during the three main processing phases.
