The safety and health at work issues are set out in the INRS action plan 2005. It gives a general idea of the Institute’s main priorities, its core competencies and fields of action. This priority focus is in line with the aims of the 2003-2007 Medium-Term Plan.

An objective: Health and safety at work

From toxicological hazards to physical and psychological well-being, the INRS conducts study and research programmes to improve the health and safety of men and women at work. The INRS operates on behalf of the employees and companies coming under the general Social Security scheme. It is supported by the regional health insurance funds (CRAM) in metropolitan France and general Social Security funds (CGSS) in French overseas administrative departments, and provides its competence to other prevention partners such as occupational physicians and Labour inspectorate services.
